One of the most defining moments in Doss’s life came in his teenage years. Doss’s father and uncle were both drunk one night and started to argue. The argument then escalated to a point where Doss’s father pulled a gun out on Doss’s uncle. Doss’s mother broke up the fight and made Doss hide the gun while she called the police.
