If out of tranq. arrows you can actually just knock it out with a slingshot. It's pretty easy to tame: just give it raw meat or prime meat (or actually kibble if you want it quicker) and a bunch of narcotics. Ta-daa! You tamed an Argy. If it helped, click on the arrow pointing towards the sky!

I prefer a trap that the argy can't get out of once it decides to turn a flee, one of my alliance members built a trap like that one and 2 argy escaped from it. You can set up an easy trap for argies using 5 stone dino gates like a tunnel with room between for your character to run through the gap. Doors on the ends. Leave one door open and one close. Shoot the argy with a tranq arrow and then run it into the tap and close the door.The Argy is an amazing pack animal, no doubt there. But in general, the abilities it has aren't really flexible. Picking up medium dinos can be used for taming, and the Smith saddle can't repair, so it's mostly there for things you can't craft in the basic smithy.Use an argy trap! They are fast in the open but if you get them in a standard argy trap, doors closed or noy....they're a super easy tame with tranqs and they don't do too much damage while chasing you into the trap!
